ACROLINE Used in New Construction

The concrete chemical tank shown in this picture was newly constructed at a sulfuric acid plant. Plant engineers had no success with coatings on concrete in immersion service. Here, ACROLINE sheet is placed onto forms. The concrete is then poured and is allowed to harden before the forms are removed. Welding is then performed on the ACROLINE to produce a continuous lining system. A leak detection device was installed in the annular space between the liner and the concrete to monitor liner performance.
