Plastek Werks is a global leader in plastic welding and custom thermoplastic fabrication. We specialize in full penetration welds, concrete protective liners (ACROLINE®), on-site field welding, and the repair of plastic systems used in demanding chemical and industrial environments.
Where are you located?
We are headquartered in the United States, operating out of a 33,000 square foot facility equipped for large-scale plastic fabrication and testing. Our certified technicians also travel globally for on-site service work.
Do you offer international services?
Yes. Our field technicians are passport-ready and experienced in providing on-site welding and repair services in countries around the world.
SERVICES & CAPABILITIES
What materials do you work with?
We work with a wide range of thermoplastics, including Polypropylene, HDPE, CPVC, PVDF, UHMW-PE, Delrin, and more.
Do you provide on-site plastic welding and repairs?
Absolutely. Our certified technicians can perform plastic welding, repairs, and retrofitting on-site, especially when transporting a large vessel or system is not practical.
What is full penetration welding and why does it matter?
Full penetration welding creates a weld that fuses completely through the joint, resulting in superior strength and leak-proof integrity. Unlike most shops, we specialize in this advanced technique for long-term durability.
Can you fabricate custom plastic components to fit my existing process system?
Yes. We offer custom design and fabrication for tanks, vessels, piping systems, manholes, and more. We tailor every solution to your exact process needs.
PRODUCTS
What are Concrete Protective Liners and how do they work?
Concrete Protective Liners (CPLs), such as ACROLINE®, are mechanically anchored thermoplastic liners designed to protect concrete structures from chemical attack. They create a durable, chemical-resistant, and leak-tight barrier that bridges cracks in concrete and enhances long-term performance in harsh environments.
Can CPLs be retrofitted into existing structures?
Yes. CPLs like ACROLINE® can be installed during new construction or retrofitted into existing infrastructure—such as clarifiers, sumps, or containment vaults—to extend service life and prevent costly repairs.
What’s the advantage of using a liner over traditional coatings?
Liners offer superior chemical resistance, mechanical anchoring, and crack-bridging capability compared to traditional coatings, which can fail under thermal cycling or chemical stress.
QUALITY & CERTIFICATIONS
Are your welders certified?
Yes. All of our thermoplastic technicians are trained, tested, and certified to the highest standards, including AWS and German DVS specifications.
What standards do you follow?
We follow ASTM, AWS, and DVS standards for plastic welding. Our president also chairs key subcommittees within the American Welding Society, helping shape industry best practices.
Do you offer weld testing and inspection?
Yes. We provide both destructive and non-destructive testing services to ensure the integrity and longevity of our welds.
Can you fabricate custom plastic components to fit my existing process system?
Yes. We offer custom design and fabrication for tanks, vessels, piping systems, manholes, and more. We tailor every solution to your exact process needs.
Do you offer dual laminate tank fabrication?
Yes. We build dual laminate tanks combining thermoplastic liners with fiberglass exteriors for added strength and chemical resistance.
